Best in the business for the sixth year running
DPD has been voted the best in the business for the sixth year running, in Money Saving Expert’s customer satisfaction survey, it is considered to be Britain’s favorite parcel delivery company. Not only that, but DPD’s sister company DPD Local took second place.
More than seven thousand people (Almost 7,700, to be more exact) took part in the survey on Martin Lewis’ site to find the best (and worst) parcel delivery firms in the country. Conducted just after the Christmas and January Sales peak, the survey asked participants to rate the shipping performance of all major British delivery companies, based on their own experiences during the whole of 2018.
How far ahead is DPD compared to the rest of the competition?
DPD finished as the overall winner. Approximately 65% of all the voters rated the companies’ service as “great”, while DPD’s sister company, DPD Local, was rated as the second-best package delivery company in the country, with an impressive 56% “great” final score.
Did the others even stand a chance?
Royal Mail, which is DPD’s major competitor finished third, with 54%. We should also mention other “great” scores for the other major carriers, such as the 41% got by Parcelforce and, of course, UPS, with 40%, or Hermes, who managed to score a total of 31%.
A habit that they don’t want to give up
Dwain McDonald, DPD’s CEO, is, of course, extremely proud of the result: “This is becoming a habit, and it isn’t one that we want to give up! While it is the sixth time we’ve topped this poll, we never take anything for granted. We will enjoy this. When nearly 8,000 customers vote, you have to take it seriously. But the nature of this industry is that you have to perform to the highest possible standards every single day of the year, no matter what the roads or the weather throw at you. The whole team deserves massive credit and it is great for everyone involved in the operation to know that their efforts are appreciated by the parcel recipients“.
Stock control and order management system with DPD integration
DPD is a member of DPDgroup, one of Europe’s leading parcels groups, wholly owned by France’s La Poste, the second largest postal group in Europe. The company operates more than 8,000 vehicles from 65 locations and delivers over 230 million parcels a year.
Nventree has DPD delivery services integrated to help sellers drive their business from just one easy-to-use interface, regardless of the platforms on which they sell. DPD delivery services, Royal Mail, Hermes, DHL, and many other parcel delivery services are integrated in such a way to allow sellers to map the shipping services that fit every selling channel requirements.
